Saraswati Puja

In early spring – we commemorate the goddess of learning, knowledge, education and arts, “Saraswati” – through worship and cultural events featuring local talents.

Durga Puja

Our biggest event of the year – over two days in fall. Celebrating the power of women (Shakti) to vanquish all evil (Asura), along with rituals to remind us of her loving and nurturing spirit as Durga performs the journey to visit her family with her four children.

Bijoya/Diwali

Diwali is “the festival of light”, celebrating the victory of good over evil. The festivities occur late in the fall and consist of lighting “diyas” and preparing a variety of foods to celebrate this festival which also marks the end of the Indian festive season for the calendar year.

BAGH is deeply committed to enriching its local community through dedicated giving initiatives. BAGH has actively contributed to the community through food drives, toy drives, clothes drives, and various volunteering efforts.

As part of its ongoing commitment, BAGH proudly supports organizations that make a tangible difference in the lives of many. In 2024, BAGH was honored to contribute to two vital Connecticut societies: the Salvation Army, which provides essential services to those in need, and the Humane Society, dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals. These partnerships underscore BAGH’s ongoing effort to foster a stronger, more compassionate community.

As part of its heartfelt commitment, BAGH is truly honored to support the launch of the CT Chapter of Akshay Patra, an organization that profoundly impacts the lives of countless children in India. Just $20 feeds a child for an entire school year.
